1984 Ford Ltd Crown Victoria, V-8 4d Sed
LTD CROWN VICTORIA - V-8 - Crown Vic's new grille featured a light argent second surface, and a new optional Brougham roof for the four-door had a formal look. It included a padded full vinyltop, a more upright rear window with ‘trenched’ treatment, and electro-luminiscent coach lamps on the center pillar. Interiors had a new vinyl grain pattern, Otherwise, the full-size Ford was a carryover, available again as a two- or four-door sedan, and pair of wagons. The Crown Victoria station wagon was just a Country Squire without simulated wood trim. The wide grille had a 12 × 4 hole Crosshatch pattern (plus a 2 × 2 pattern within each segment). Wide amber parking lamps went below the quad headlamps. Amber signal/marker lenses consisted of a large lens above a small one. ‘LTD Crown Victoria’ lettering went ahead of the front door, just above the crease line. Sole standard engine was the 302 cu. in. (5.0-liter) fuel-injected V-8. The high-performance 351 cu. in. (5.8-liter) V-8 with variable-venturi carburetor was available only with police package.
